Pastor Insults Woman, Arrested for Manhandling Police

Neyyatinkara: A Pastor who was constantly ridiculing a widow belonging to SC has been arrested for assaulting the Dy SP and injuring two policemen. He was summoned to the police station by the Dy SP for showering constant insults on the woman, where in a fit of rage he attacked the policemen.

38 year old Pastor John, a native of Tamil Nadu has been serving in Paliyodu Shalom Church and has been residing in a house adjacent to the church.

“He was recently summoned to Neyyatinkara police station for constantly ridiculing a neighbouring widow, by referring to her caste name. Taking an adamant stand, he was infuriated and attacked Dy SP S Suresh Kumar. He was soon overpowered by other police personnel. Two policemen have sustained injuries,” said police.

A case has been registered against him for ridiculing the woman and assaulting police personnel. He will be produced in Court today.
