Marxists Violence in Response to Mass Exodus to BJP – V Muraleedharan

Thiruvananthapuram: The unleashing of violence by Marxists is the result of deep anguish over their fast dwindling numbers and apprehension over being completely isolated in the political realm, said the state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party. Responding to the series of violence let loose against BJP workers and Swayamsevaks, state president of BJP V Muraleedharan said that Marxists feared plummeting defeat in the forthcoming local body/ Assembly elections.

“The last few days witnessed Marxist brutality in various parts of the state. Places like Kanjangad, Kannur, Nadapuram, Thrissur, Thodupuzha, Kayamkulam etc have been worst hit because these are the very places from where a mass exodus has taken place to RSS and BJP. They fear being trounced in the forthcoming local body/ state assembly elections. And hence the unleashing of violence in the state with due directives issued from their high command.

Pointing out that BJP and RSS have been gaining an overwhelming acceptance among the masses and the political fields of Kerala, Muraleedharan said, “Red brigade harboured dreams of retaining their clutch in Kerala, following the humiliating defeat they suffered in West Bengal. But with the fast dwindling numbers, they have become insecure which has made them resort to bloodshed, to identify each and every BJP RSS member and murder them.”

“The state has, along with the entire nation, celebrated Raksha Bandhan. As part of this, a large number of Marxists joined the Sangh fold. The Marxists had apprehended this and resorted to violence to prevent the influx into BJP,” said BJP state president Muraleedharan.

Alleging that the state government machinery failed to swing into action in spite of being aware of the Marxist agenda beforehand, Muraleedharan said that “the stand taken by state home minister Ramesh Chennithala of viewing the Marxist marauders and RSS/ BJP victims on the same plane is absolutely deplorable.”
