Marxist attack on BJP election campaign in Kannur

Kannur: The Marxist have yet again resorted to their vile tricks by stalling the election campaign of Ward Two BJP candidate of Chittariparambu panchayat Manju Vineesh.Source have stated that Manju and her election campaign group were accosted by weapon wielding Marxist goons and prevented from proceeding any further.

According to reports, Manju had set forth on her election campaign in a large group consisting of over twenty persons, which included women a well. It is at this juncture that the Marxist goons stalled their campaign work, issuing death threats as well. Earlier, it was reported that the CPM workers had abducted Sugathan, a BJP backed independent candidate from Parappuram ward of Pinarayi, Kannur.

Local CPM leader are also said to have forbidden those candidates of Malappattam, Cherukunnuetc etc from standing for elections, by issuing intimidating messages and veiled threats. This is an oft repeated ploy of the Marxists, who have to a great deal, hindered the election work of BJP candidates by resorting to muscle power.
