Injured BJP activist passed away
Thalassery:The BJP activist Edacholi Preman (27) who was attacked by CPM workers on October 13 and sustained multiple stab wounds, suffered injuries in both hands and left leg succumbed late on Sunday night at Kozhikode hospital.
Shops and business houses in Thalassery remained closed on Monday in response to the BJP call for a day long hartal, following the death The brutal attack, by CPM workers at Moozhikkara near Thalassery was on last month.
Seven CPM activists had surrendered before a court in connection with the attack while another accused committed suicide on November 11 due to mental agony and guilty feeling.
