Minorities sideline Hindus-Nateshan

If social justice were to be implemented in Kerala there should have to be single party rule in the state, according to Mr Vellapally Natesan, General Secretary, SNDP.

Inaugurating a function at Mavelikkara, he said that so long as Casteism continued to remain a reality in the state “I will speak about caste”.

The records in the Registrar’s offices is the clear testimony to the fact that when wealth is disbursed the minorities are getting more than what they deserved, he alleged. 71 per cent of those buying land in Kerala are minorities. The 55 per cent Hindus in Kerala has only 11 per cent of the wealth. Where as the Christians constituting only 19 per cent and Muslims 25 per cent of the population are in possession of 33 per cent 56 per cent of the wealth respectively, he said. Similarly, 76 per cent of the College teachers are from the minority communities.

Of the 443 self-financing professional colleges in the state 259 belonged to the minorities where as the Hindus have only 86 and the government has 83, he said.
