Kerala polls to be held in three phases

Kochi, Mar2: The Elections to the Kerala Assembly would be held in 3 phases on April22,29 and May3, the Election Commission has announced.


In the first phase polling would be held in 59 constituencies spread over Idukki, Kottayam, Alapuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram districts. Polling to the 66 seats in the districts of Kozhikode, Wayanad, Malapuram, Palakad, Thrissur and Ernakulam would be held on Apr29.In the last lap on May3 fifteen seats in Kasargode and Kannur would go to the polls.


Counting of votes for all the constituencies would be held on may11, and election process completed on May20, EC announcement added.
