BJP to present itself as a credible alternative

Thrissur, Mar 5:  In a bid to make an electoral break through in Kerala keeping its success in mind in the recent civic polls in Palakkad, the BJP appears to be prepared to field the veteran leader Mr O Rajagopal as its candidate there in the forthcoming assembly polls.

A report quoting BJP sources said that the party was chalking out strategies to present itself as a credible alternative in Kerala to save the people.

The state level meeting held here to discuss the election strategy emphasised the need of unity and decided to put up candidates including some independents in all the 140 constituencies in the state.

BJP Sate President, Mr P S Sreedharan Pillai, the party’s national Vice-President, L Ganesh and Mr O Rajagopal were among the leaders present in the meeting.
