Vote only to those who protect interest of Hindus

In the next state Assembly there should have MLAs with courage, will and ability to protect the interest of the Hindus, said Mr Kummanam Rajasekharan, Organizing Secretary of the Hindu Aikya Vedi.

Speaking at the ‘meet the press programme’ organized by the Kesari Trust in Thiruvananthapuram, Mr Rajasekharan said that there had been none to speak about the problems faced by the Hindus in the Assembly so far. This situation should change. Both the ruling and opposition fronts had been doing blatant minority appeasement. Where as, the Hindu society had been subjected to torture, harassment and exploitation despite being the majority, he said.

Given this scenario the Hindu society should be prepared to cast their votes for those persons who would protect their interests, he said.

All the reports of various Commissions relating to the Hindu Society had been shelved for decades. The Inquiry Commission report on Marad massacre had not been placed before the Assembly. There is a conspiracy behind the shelving of this report, he alleged. “If the Political parties were functioning truthfully, they should publish the report”, he said. On this, both the left and right fronts should be disclose and clear their positions.

He said the Commission report on the Sabarimala fire in 1950 had not yet seen the light of the day and the Marad Commission report also appears to be facing the same destiny as there is not a single MLA to demand its publication. Whereas, they were all together to unanimously demand the release of Madani, an accused in a serious Bomb blast case. Thus, they are all united for Madani, while they forget the interests of the Hindus, why do they do so?, he asked.
