Double murder of RSS activists;14 CPM Activists convicted

14 convicted in Meloor double murder case 1:15 pm IST

THALASSERY: The court today convicted fourteen CPM activists in connection with the double murder of RSS activists– K Sujeesh and Sunil in Meloor coming under the Dharmadom police station. The court would pronounce the punishment on April 26.

The court acquitted the fifteen accused and district panchayat education standing committee chairman M Sambath Kumar on grounds of suspicion.

Those convicted are Edakandi Dinesan (43), Panniyodan Sivadasan (31), Edakkandi Ashokan (38), Kalyan Veettil Mahesh (26), Kalyan Veettil Jithesh (25), Valiyamuttam Nishanth (23), Uchammal Sathyan (36), N K Baiju (27), Malyanandi Suresh Babu (46), Pacheyan Sasi (44), Vellora Ittuppi Pradeepan (34), Vadayil Raneesh (24), Nadukkandi Ravi, (54) and Cheruvari Panniyodan Sreedharan (64).
