The Travancore Devaswom Board President, Mr G Raman Nair exhorted the Hindus to be vigilant against the organised move to thwart the development of Sabarimala.

Inagurating the 2nd year OTC camp of the RSS at Mannar today he said that there are forces which seem to be committed to block the growth of Sabarimala. Today, the subsistance of about 1200 temples under the TDB is dependent on the revenue from Sabarimala. If that revenue is reduced that would affect the day to day functioning of these temples negatively. The forces which were behind setting ablaze of the Sabarimala shrine about five decades ago, have raised its heads now,he said. Therefore, the Hindus should remain united to protect their places of worship, he said.

He said that the RSS stood for the Hindu society and its well-being, and ” since I, being a Hindu and the head of the establishment that administers and controls around 1200 temples of the Hindus, am happy to participate in this function.

The RSS Sarsanghchalak K S Sudarshanji is epxected to attend the camp for three days from Mar 08. The camp is for 20 days and workers from various parts of the state are participating.
