THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : Shri. P. Parameswaran, Director of Bharathiya Vichar Kendram, on his Prudential address at the 24th annual convention held in Thiruananthapuram categorically said that “Hindus are under siege in Kerala”.

More than 200 participants have gathered for the 24th annual convention scheduled for July 7 and 8 at Thriuvananthapuram. In a policy paper discussed at the conference, Bharathiya Vichara Kendram stated that there is a global conspiracy against Hinduism and Hindus. In the name of globalization, vested, fundamentalist groups are attempting to denigrate Hindus and trying to bring back colonialism, imperialism and exploiting capitalism in the form of consumerism. Fundamentalist groups have aligned with the Marxists to wage a relentless war against Hindus and its culture and traditional spiritual practices.

The participants were alarmed by the vicious nature of Hindu hatred being promoted in the media. In his speech Parameswarji has stressed that Hindus need to continue National resurgence movement heralded by Swami Vivekananda, Sri Narayana Guru, Maharishi Arabindo, Swami Chinamayananda and Guru Golvarkar.

There are hundreds of Christian and Islamic nations on earth. Nepal was the only Hindu nation. Fundamentalist religious groups waged a constant war to destabilize Nepal and destroyed the Hindu character from Nepal. In spite of thousands of years of Hindu history, India still could not declare as a Hindu Rashtra. He stressed that Hindus should emulate spiritual services of Mata Amrithanandamai Devi, Sri Ravi Shankar and Bhagavan Sathya Sai Baba. The role of SNDP and NSS is not different. He urged these organizations to join with Hindu organizations to continue strengthening Hindu society.

In this crisis created by globalization, capitalism, communism and fundamentalism, only Hinduism can promote peace, tranquility and justice. Hindus have the philosophy and the universal, unifying concept of Vasudeva Kudumbakam. In this time of Jihadi terrorism, fundamentalist crusade and communist tyranny, Hindus have a moral responsibility to resist attacks on Hindu culture and promote Hindutva assertively to save Kerala from nefarious forces.

The conference was presided by Dr.I. Isaac and Dr. Jayaprasad welcomed the gathering.
