SIMI Active in Kerala;Police Report

Kerala Police submitted an affidavit on May 30,2006 to Delhi High Court on the activities of Banned SIMI in Kerala.

As per the report SIMI had regrouped under the banner of 12 organisations  since it’s banning in 2001.

SIMI Presence is seen Mainly in NDF,Islamic Youth Centre,Karuna Foundation,and Solidarity Students Movement. All these are headed by former SIMI Leaders.

Thiruvananthapuram, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Kannur are their strong holds.Top leaders of SIMI had also organised fund raising camps with international organisations like World Assembly of Muslim Youth. They organise fund via Hawala transactions, mainly from Middle East.

Police in the wake of Mumbai blast are also investigating the Import-Export dealings of these organisations. Even after the banning SIMI is held free all over the state, Organising meetings, Collecting Funds and plotting Bomb blasts all over the country. Yet our secular leaders are ready to vouch for their purity !
