Conversion bid: Devaswom conducts probe
GURUVAYUR: The Guruvayur Devaswom has conducted a preliminary inquiry into the forcible removal of 16 aged orphan devotees from the temple premises on Thursday.
Devaswom administrator K Anil Kumar said devaswom health supervisor PC Aravindan had conducted an inquiry into the incident and finalised the report. Devaswom Minister G Sudhakaran also issued direction to the devaswom administrator on the issue on Thursday night.
Meanwhile, one among the 16 orphans forcibly removed from Melpathur auditorium died at Devaswom Hospital here on Friday morning. The deceased, Sundaran, 70, is the son of Krishnan Nair.
He was admitted to the hospital by the Jeeva Karunya Samiti workers, as per the direction of Guruvayur SI Premananda Krishnan, on Thursday. Doctors said that the death was natural
