Arrested Terrorist,Lecturer in Engg.College

Kochi:Police arrested one more Islamic terrorist from Kalammassery today, The arrest was based on information gained from the arrest of 18 Jehadi terrorist from Aluva near Kochi.

The arrested Shakeer hails from Tamilnadu and is working as a Lecturer in KMEA Engineering college, Pookaatupadi.

18 terrorists, have been taken into custody from Panayikulam after a raid at Hafi Auditorium under Binanipuram police station limit, by Circle Inspector Babukumar and Sub-Inspector KN Rajesh near here on Tuesday afternoon.

They were identified as Riyaz of Kothamangalam, VA Nissar, MA Thaha and Anzar of Uliyannoor, M Nissar of Kulachal, Raffique, AJ Shameer and Shamilin of Eerattupetta, VM Nizhamudeen and MA Hasim of Panayikulam, KU Nizar of Veliyathunadu, PA Salik of Puzhakkara Kaloor, Muhammed Nizam of Mudickal, Perumbavoor, KYShameer, EM Akbar, KM Abdul Hakkim and EA Nizar of Kodungalloor and V Rasheed of Pattambi.

Police recovered hate inciting Pamphlets, Books glorifying Jihad printed in Jihadistan and maps of India and Jihadistan showing JammuKashmir as part of Pakistan.

The suspected activists were grilled at the Office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police ET Mathew late at the night.
