Death threat to Vice-chancellor’s daughter : SIMI suspected

via HK Correspondent published on October 19, 2006

Alapuzha: The banned terrorist organisation SIMI is suspected to be behind the death threat sent to the daughter of Kaladi Sanskrit University Vice-Chancellor Shri. K.S.Radhakrishnan. A student named Shabna had registered a complaint with the syndicate members that the VC had molested her. Immediately after this incident, the VC’s daughter had received the threatening letter with the heading ‘allah-ho-akbar’. The investigating officer in this case has got ample proof that a close relative of Shabna is associated with SIMI. This person who was the Ernakulam district office-bearer, had left this organisation saying that SIMI is not intensely fundamentalist in nature. He had attended several SIMI camps in northern India.

This terror agent is now working as a guest lecturer at the Kaladi Sanskrit University. The Aluva ASP Vikramjith Singh will be questioning this man very soon. The crime branch is under the opinion that SIMI, even though banned is still actively operating under different names in Kerala
