Dedicate Kochi International Airport to Sankaracharya’s name:P.Parameswaran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Bharateeya Vichara Kendram Director P. Parameswaran appealed to the Prime Minister to rename the Cochin Airport as Sankaracharya International Airport and for a statue of Sri Thunchath Ramanujan Ezhuthacahan in Tirur.

Jagad Guru Sankaracharya was born in Kaladi near to the present Nedumbasseri (Cochin) International Airport. Sri Sankaracharya was the greatest contribution to the world by Kerala.

Sri Thunchath Ezhuthachan known as the father of Malayalm language and the author of Adhyathma Ramayanam Killipattu and many other literary works need know introduction to a Keralite, but unfortunately that great poet of Kerala also was never remembered and respected by political Kerala.

 â€œUnlike Kerala, other states are coming forward to respect the great personalities and our ancient Rishes in their own place, but both the fronts ruled in Kerala for the last 50 years never shown any interest to respect these great sons of Kerala” said P. Parameswaran during a press meet here.

He said for the last 50 years achievement in Kerala is luxury life for politicians, groupism, power hungry politics, destroying our culture, conversion, encouraging terrorism etc. and these were not the goals of Sreesankaracharya, Sreenarayana Guru or Thunchathu Ezhuthachan who were in the forefront to protect the Dharma.

He demanded the government to reveal to public, which is forces sabotaging the plans to give the name of  Sankaracharya to Cochin Airport and having a statue of Thunchathu Ezhuthachan in Thunchan Parambu, Tirur.
