Intellectual terrorism more dangerous-Parameswarji

via HK Correspondent published on November 11, 2006

Thiruvananthapuram: The Bharateeya Vichara Kendram director Shri.P.Parameshwaran said that intellectual terorrism is more dangerous than physical terorrism. In kerala both types are present. The govt has failed in tackling these two types of terorrism.

Shri. Parameshwaran was speaking during the formation of the reception commitee for the forthcoming Maha Hindu Sammelan  as a part of the on going centenary celebration of Shri Guruji Golwalkar, the second sar sanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

During the unified Hindu congregation at Ernakulam in 1982, all groups of the hindu community took part in it. The leaders of different sections of Hindu community were in the forefront to lead the masses.

It was decided during this Hindu sammelan that the month of karkidakam(july-august), will be utilised for ‘Ramayan recital’ in every hindu home. The whole of Kerala accepted the mission. Right from mansions to small dwelling, people started reciting Ramayan. In spite of much opposition against this mission, we overcame all obstacles.

We are in an era where we need to have a Hindu resurgence. The cultural hallmark of kerala are Thunchath acharyan, Sri Sankara, Sri Narayana Guru devan, Chattambi swamikal. If the Hindu population dwindles, there will be cultural backwardness. That’s what we learnt from Kashmir. Kerala may become more or less like Kahsmir in the near future. We should be concerned about it not but not depressed.

All challenges should be taken up as opportunities and we should accept challenges with unity, self-confidence and self-respect. Challenges should not become threats. We must face challenges with integrity Parameshwarji reminded.

The RSS mahanagar sanghchalak Prof. Gopikuttan presided over the function. Parama Bhataraka Theertha Swamigal inaugrated the samellan. Ambikananda Swamigal, P.Narayana Kurup, R.P.C Nair, Adv. Manoharan, P.K. Rajiv Kumar etc spoke on the occasion. A reception commitee consisting of 101 eminent personalities has been formed.

Footnote:

The Main stream media including Malayala Manorama and Mathrubhumi spread false newses against ‘Ramayana Month’ celebration initiated by Hindu Maha Sammelan in 1982 as the resurgence of Hindu Fundamentalism! The very same media now welcomes Ramayana Month with Special Articles, Special Editions and even Downloadable Ramayana parayanam in their internet editions! This acceptance itself shows that unified and dedicated efforts by Hindu devotees and organisations will bear fruit, may not now but in coming years!
