Bhagavatha Sathram anniversary fete

PATHANAMTHITTA: The anniversary of 23rd Sreemad Bhagavatha Sathram and the one-day Bhagavatha Sathram was held at Tiruvalla Sree Vallabha Temple on Friday.

Inaugurating the anniversary celebrations, Travancore Devaswom Board president G Raman Nair said that the conduct of the sathram should make an awakening among the Hindu community to face the growing challenges.

Akila Bharatha Sathra Samithi president M K Kuttappan Nair presided over the function. Temple thantri Akeeramon Kalidasa Bhattathiri delivered the bendictory address.

The function also felicitated Bhagavathahamsam Malliyur Sankaran Nampoothiri, P T Mohanan Pillai, senior correspondent, The New Indian Express, Kuttoor Radhakrishnan, correspondent, The Hindu, and Mohandas, ACV, on the occasion by presenting mementos. Malliyur’s son accepted the memento on behalf of Malliyur.
