Face the challenges : P. Parameswaran

Paravoor: A revitalized Hindu movement would have to take on the new challenges facing Hindu society, says P. Parameswaran, Director, Bharathiya Vichar Kendra. Sri Parameswaran was speaking at the Guruji Centenary Celebration at the Paravoor Town Hall. At this time of crisis, violence and constant change, Hindus should work with activism and unifying vision. The unfortunate tendencies including Jihadi terrorism, violence among Marxist populists rest on the unfounded and unsustainable belief that the politics of confrontation with Hindus could make lasting gains. Parameswarji cautioned that Hindus need to wake up from the deafening silence, complacency and drift of times to face the tides of current events.

At the national Seminar, Dr. M.G.S. Narayanan advised that we cannot blithely ignore the manifold evidence that the corrupt political culture as well as the social fabric of Kerala is far gone in decay. Religious fundamentalism, misinterpretation of history, terrorism, denying reality, and the emergence of money power and criminal gangs are destroying the social, economic and cultural life of Kerala on a colossal scale. Vested interest groups are promoting consumerism in the name of globalization and it is destroying the uniqueness of Kerala culture. Globalization, environmental degradation and political corruption are leading us to destruction. Culture is the foundation of nationalism and it should be preserved.  Dr. M.G.S. Narayanan has urged that it is imperative that Keralaites must face the challenges head on.

Cultural Nationalism is the foundation of any country, said Govindaacharya another speaker at the conference. Cultural Nationalism defies any definition or classification. It is vividly described and explained by Guruji. Nothing, except the unconquerable will of Hindus to build a new Hindu Rashtra for themselves and their children and their ability to organize themselves for whatever challenges are faced can reestablish cultural nationalism.

Dr. Ravindran Pillai presided the conference. Advocate K. Kannan, Madras High Court was the chief Guest. M. B. Jayakumar welcomed the gathering. M.C.Sanalkumar thanked the guests and participants. At the second seminar, V. Devarajan presided. Professor Hameed Chennamangloor, and J. Nandakumar, Saha Prantha Pracharak, RSS were the main speakers. At the third seminar, V. Gopinathan Nair, Justice K.P. Radhakrihnan, and Advocate Govinda Bharathan were the speakers.
