KOZHIKODE: Police arrested a person and seized large amount of hawala money from him in the city on Monday.
Police said M P Abdul Saleem, carrying Rs 8.98 lakh to deliver his clientele at Vengara in the neighbouring Malappuram district, was arrested on the Thondayad-Ramanattukara bypass by a special squad.
Investigation was on to find out the source of the money and persons involved in the racket, police added.
