BJP holds taluk office march

KASARGOD: The BJP took out a march to the taluk office here, in protest against the ‘price rise and the policies of the LDF Government’, as part of its statewide agitation on Thursday.

BJP national council member C.K. Padmanabhan inaugurated the march, which began from Karanthakad. BJP state vice-president Madikkai Kammaran presided over the inaugural function.

Hundreds of BJP activists participated in the march, which was blocked by the police on the road adjacent to the taluk office. The activists chanted slogans against the LDF Government for its negligent attitude while majority of the people were hit by the price rise of all essential commodities.

BJP leaders M. Narayana Bhat, V Balakrishna Shetty, Ashok Kumar, S. Kumar, Roopa Vani Bhat and Jose Mathew spoke.
