Visala Hindu meet held at Piravom

PIRAVOM: The Visala Hindu meet, conducted jointly by 22 Hindu organisations, was held at Pizharu Kovil, on Sunday.

Head of Peruva Geethasramam Swami Vedananda Saraswathy inaugurated the meet. Governments are moving away from secularism, he said.

‘‘The Central and State Governments are trying to uproot Hinduism,’’ he said.

Hindus must be aware about its dharma and integrity, he said.

Oorayma Devaswom Board general secretary Krishnan Namboothiri presided over the function.
