Hindu organisations to hold ‘Mass fast’ on Wednesday

via HK published on February 12, 2007

Hindu organisations will observe a day-long fast at a sit-in in front of the State Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday to demand the removal of “hazardous” provision in the recently promulgated Devaswom Ordinance.

In a statement here on Monday, Hindu Aikya Vedi general secretary Kummana Rajasekharan said that the mass fast was being organised as part of the agitation being held by Hindu organisations protesting against the “unnecessary interference” by the government in Devaswom administration.
