TVPM: An enquiry has been ordered against Senior IG Mahesh Kumar Singla for his suspicious terrorist connections and links with Jehadi leaders. IG Singla is currently KSEB Chief Vigilance officer.
Thomas P Joseph commission which enquired in to the Marad massacre strongly criticized then IG of Kozhikode in their report. During his tenure as Crime branch IG, Singla headed the Marad enquiry. Intelligence has found that he had hidden many key and vital information related to the riots. Why he did that and for whom he did that is mainly the part of the investigation headed by ADGP Jacob Punnoose.
Marad commission’s strong remarks against Singla resulted in his exit from the crime branch. The enquiry team has got many vital links connecting IG and FM, the main sponsor of Maradu riots. The central intelligence agencies help is requested to trace the alleged links between Kashmiri terrorists and FM.
The relation between FM and IG Singla dates back to the time when Singla was working as Trichur Range DIG. FM used to be his frequent guest at the police club.
Before the 2nd Marad riot it is alleged that IG Singla fired using his service revolver on a foreign tourist lady in the presence of the infamous don of Marad Massacre FM. This is also under enquiry.
