‘Historic stand of RSS, conveniently forgotten by Communists’

Political prejudice and discrimination severe in Kerala: P Parameswarji.

Thiruvananthapuram: Political discrimination has become so severe these days, which resembles to old caste discrimination existed in Kerala, said P. Parameswarji, Director of Bharathiya Vicharakendram in his disclosure on closing ceremony of ‘Ananthapuri International Book festival’.

Political discrimination is very dangerous as it gives a wrong perception about a certain group in the minds of common people. He continued, these views are the mishap of Kerala’s political scenario. Communist party at present keep misunderstandings and keep spreading the same among common people about Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (R.S.S), who strongly protested against the dismissal of world’s first elected communist government in 1958. Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister of India, dismissed E.M.S government after the outbreak of ‘The Liberation struggle’ lead by Congress along with Church and Muslim League. A historic stand by RSS is being conveniently forgotten by communist in Kerala, he said.

P. Govinda pilla through out his speech emphasised the importance of reading and book festivals among youths. Reading is the only way to keep our decade old Kerala culture and heritage on coming generation. He wished that such book festivals could keep our native art and culture in modern society especially among youths.

Prof. C.G Rajagopal was the chair of the meeting; Dr. Nithyananda Bhatt, Dr. K.U Devadas and K.V Rajendran were also present in the function. P. Parmeswarji and P. Govinda pilla presented gifts to winners of various events conducted during the festival.
