Infant Deaths-Minister charged for Homicide

Thiruvananthapuram:Kerala has always been adorned with the name as a state with India’s best neonatal care services.But, gone are those days, atleast for a while, with the death of new born babies in SAT hospital due to infection.The investigations revealed that about 39 newborns lost life through infections in last four months.

As per the complaint filed by BJP leader and Media cell convenor Pongummoodu Vikraman, Additional chief judicial magistrate charged Kerala Health Minister P.K. Sreemathi and seven others for culpable homicide not amounting to murder over the death of 39 newborns.

BJP state general secretary M.N.Radhakrishnan demanded immediate arrest and resignation of Health Minister and others responsible for their role in heinous homicide of Newborns.Mahila Morcha conducted protest march to SAT Hospital demading the arrest of the responsible.

The so called ‘POOR’ man’s Government is neglecting the Government Hospitals in order to support private Hospitals.The irresponsible attitude of the Health Minister was exposed earlier when Chickun Guniya spreaded in the state, The Health Ministry failed to learn from past mistakes and this calous attitude had now resulted in the death of 39 innocent infants, said Radhakrishnan.

The Health Minister is trying to justify the death of 39 neonates with silly excuses like lack of staff and lack of fund.Government have enough funds to celebrate their golden jubilee with Tax payers money but no funds to take care the poor!Government have enough funds to sponsor Madrasas but no funds to save the life of a newly born! 

If not able to govern properly why Kerala need a Health Ministry and a Health Minister like this? In Muringoor 974 people were murdered and police reports itself shows about illegal Medical centre in the Christian Mafia centre.What action did the Health Minister took against this, asked BJP leader.
