Warm Welcome to ‘Ayyappa Ratham’ in Kannur

KANNUR : Thousands of devotees lined up in the streets of various places in Kannur district, offered flowers, garlands, fruits etc to the idol on lord Ayyappa installed in the Kshetra Raksha Ratham.

The people welcomed the Ratham by chanting ‘Swaranam Ayyappa’ Manthra. Devotees took the vritha thread from the Ratha and wore as a Deekasha to work to liberate temples from government. The people took a social oath to work for the temples at ant cost, to liberate, to save, to serve the temples so as to get the devotees the privilege to participate in helm of affairs of temples.

Hundreds of people attended each and every reception held at different places on the way the Ratham moved. On 10^th public meetings were held in Payyannur, Cherupuzha, Sreekrishnapuram, Azheekkaland Thaliparamba. The Hindu leaders such as Marad Suresh, V.S.Biju, Swami Mangalanda Swaraswati, Swami Ayyappadas addressed in these meeting.
