Temple rows part of CPM agenda: BJP

via Pioneer News Service | Malappuram published on June 3, 2007

State BJP president PK Krishnadas said on Sunday that the CPI(M) was dragging the temples in Kerala into controversies as part of its “hidden agenda”. After a meeting of the party State committee, he said that the CPI(M) was trying to destroy temples with the propaganda that inhuman rites existed there.

He said that the Yuva Morcha would take out a march to the Pushpagiri Medical College in Thiruvalla on June 9 in protest against the self-financing college management’s stand over the vexed issue and on June 11, the Scheduled Caste Morcha would march to the State Secretariat in Thiruvvananthapuram.

Dharnas would be organised in front of taluk hospitals demanding solution to the shortcomings in the healthcare front, he said.
