Hindu organisations caution government
THRISSUR: A meeting of the representatives of Warrier Samajam, Pushpak Seva Sangham, Marar Kshema Sabha and Mathuva Sabha Uduppi Brahmins) organised by Yogakshema Sabha on Saturday cautioned the State Government against the move to bring legislation affecting the devotion and faith of Hindu believers.
Yogakshema Sabha president M V S Namboodiri told reporters here on Saturday that the consensus of the meeting was that the issue of allowing ‘entry to all believers’ to Hindu temples should be discussed and decided by representatives of all Hindu organisations and eminent personalities.
The meeting urged politicians and Ministers to refrain from making controversial statements in connection with the entry of believers to Hindu temples, customs and rites followed by them. Namboodiri said that a meeting of representatives of all Hindu organisations would be held at Pranavam hall at Ernakulam on June 17 to further discuss the issue.
