CPM aiding as terrorists pile up arms

Flow of hawala money & land bank threaten economic balance

Islamic extremist groups like NDF, PDP of Madhani, banned SIMI and others backed by ISI have upped their activities in Kerala, threatening the very existence of 150 lakh Hindu populance.

Thousands of garish Mosques and madrasas, which have sprung up in the state, have become the centres of terror and Jehadi activities by indoctrinating the cadres of NDF/PDP. Indian currency, printed in Quetta, Pakistan, is flowing into Kerala in containers for hawala activities, arms stock-piling and land purchases.

With just one per cent of India’s land area and 3.5 per cent population, land has become the most scarce commodity in Kerala. Jehadi groups like NDF are now concentrating on purchasing huge chunks of land and creation of ‘land bank’. Their area of choice is proximity to sea and strategic installations of defence, airlines, space agencies etc. Two huge ‘islands’ near the Kochi International Airport have been purchased by jehadis paying hundreds of crores of rupees. Similarly, huge tea and rubber estates in several parts of Kerala have been purchased. Large chunks of land in the entire coastal strip of Kerala have been usurped by NDF. Recently in Chavakkad (a Muslim stronghold called mini Pakistan), near Guruvayur, a few kilometres of land along the sea-coast was purchased paying 300 crore by a person, who does not own even a hut on his own. Hence, benami transactions by ISI operatives! The Marad carnage in Kozhikode in 2003 was an attempt to drive away the Hindu fishermen from the coastal areas. Systematically, over years, Hindu fishermen have been driven away from several coastal areas. The jehadis want the entire Kerala coastline at their disposal!

Hawala money is flowing into Kerala. Land transactions in other states like Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, a hot-bed of Islamic terror, are being funded from Kerala. Recently, a land purchase transaction at Coimbatore for Rs. 400 crore was detected, when a house at Perinthalmanna was raided. IGP Vinson M. Paul, who unearthed the scandals at the Christian Prayer Centre, was behind this raid and one Shamsudeen was arrested. Documents obtained, point to several links in hawala activities in pockets of Kerala like Kozhikode, Kasargod, Kannur Malappuram, Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram. Land transactions worth thousands of crores of rupees have been done in past few years. A machine pistol was also recovered from his possession.

Jehadi groups are stockpiling arms in Kerala, for future use. Last year 800 gelatine sticks enough to blow up the entire state were recovered in Kozhikode. Now in Thrissur on September 6, 10,000 detonators, enough to cause wholesale explosions, were detected at the main bus stop.

According to media reports, the security preparedness of the state police is next to nil. Sabarimala and Guruvayur temples where almost 15 crore pilgrims visit, have hardly 100 policemen to provide security. The security at the Govt. Secretariat is so slack that anybody can enter it, place a time bomb and coolly get away. Kerala, with heightened jehadi activities and low-security preparedness has become a soft target.

But oblivious of all these activities, the CPM has no time to see this grave threat. It is moving from group-war to crisis. During the 1½ years of CPM rule, not a single day has passed without a fresh crisis erupting. Close on the heals of the abandoned “Munnar Encroachment Eviction”, a minister T.U. Kuruvila resigned owing to his involvement in a land deal worth several crores. Now CPM regime is struggling to wriggle out of the “Forest Land Scandal” involving sale of “Environmental Fragile Forest Land” by a private party to ISRO for setting up a Space Education Centre. The CPM which has its stamp in every land mafia is obviously involved in this transaction worth several hundreds of crores.

RAW, IB, defence higher-ups and coastguard have warned against the state of heightened terrorist activities and purchase of huge areas of land by jehadi groups. But the CPM which came into power by placating Muslim extremist groups is not going to raise an accusing finger agsinst them.
