Janmabhumi : 30 years of fearless journalism
KOCHI : Yesterday (14/11/2007) was the 30th birthday of Janmabhumi, the only daily in Kerala following true journalism fearlessly despite various challenges for the cause of Hindutva.
Janmabhumi which started with as an ‘Evening Paper’ from Kozhikodu was forced to close down following a raid in 1975 during emergency period. Journalists and staffs were arrested . The publisher and chief editor was also arrested from their houses.
After the emergency , the daily was republished from Kochi from 14th November 1977. Today Janmabhumi completed its 30 years selfless service with a mission to convey true news to the people of Kerala. There was number of attempts from various corners, especially from major dailies in Kerala to destroy Janmabhumi.
Janmabhumi overcame all these challenges because of the selfless services of its staffs & management who are more concerned to the nation than to make profit through illegal roots and get foreign aids.
