The BJP State leadership celebrated the resounding victory of the party in Gujarat and the massive comeback of Narendra Modi as a political leader on Sunday. The BJP leadership distributed sweets at the party office here.

State BJP president, PK Krishnadas, while speaking to The Pioneer said, “This is a victory of the positive aspects of development works done by Narendra Modi in Gujarat and is a collective victory for the party”. He added, “The BJP leadership, the Sangh and its other sister organisations are also jubilant at the victory of Modi and the party even after mudslinging and use of communal card by the Congress.

The people of Gujarat have rejected Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s statement that Modi was the merchant of death and, instead, they know that he is the doyen of development in Gujarat, Krishnadas concluded.

The party activists are organising massive celebrations across the State over the astounding victory of BJP in Gujarat. In the northern districts of Kasargod and Kannur, the party leaders and cadres are in a joyous mood.

Haridas, a party leader from Thalassery, while speaking to The Pioneer over telephone said, “BJP had given the people of Gujarat a model rule and the results are a clear indication of how the people give back the good governance of Narendra Modi and the ideology of the party”.

BJP leaders also said that while the CPI(M) led Left Government in West Bengal was well below the development indices on various factors, Gujarat, under the BJP, was a model State for development and could be emulated throughout the Country in the next general elections, when the party would come to power under the leadership of Lal Krishna Advani.

Reports from Kasargod indicated that the cadre were in the mood of celebration and sweets and payasam were distributed in several areas where there was considerable strength for the party.

A senior leader of the BJP, while speaking to The Pioneer said, “Leaders like PP Mukundan can work wonders for the BJP in Kerala if they are properly utilised and without any group affiliations. There should be a good synergy between the party and the Sangh.”

BJP leaders demanded apologies from the pseudo secularists of Kerala, who had objected to Narendra Modi’s attending a party function at Thiruvananthapuram last year.
