Government denied bail to 27 deadly Terrorists

Kochi: Finally taking the cue from investigative officers, intelligence agencies and Hindu organisations Government denied bail to 27 NDF terrorists involved in Maradu massacre of Eight Hindus.

The LDF Government in the State on Monday submitted in the Kerala High Court that Kerala’s religious harmony and tolerant social atmosphere would collapse if the suspects in the case relating to the Marad carnage were given bail.

Director General of Prosecutions PG Thampi also told the court that releasing the suspects of the massacre of May, 2003, at the coastal village of Marad in which nine persons, including eight Hindus were chopped and hacked to death, could lead to the collapse of the social equilibrium in the State

Government also expressed their concern that these economically powerful Terrorists may abscond during the bail period. The 27 terrorists who sought bail this time were directly involved in the bloodbath.

Hindu Aikya Vedi had warned of severe repercussions if these Terrorist were released in bail. The wound caused in the psyche of Hindu Soceity by the treacherous Maradu carnage will never heal.
