PP Mukundan accorded reception

KOLLAM: Gnana Prabodhini organised a civic reception to RSS-BJP leader PP Mukundan at Sopanam auditorium here on Wednesday for bagging the Mahasivarathri award of the Kaladi Mahasivarathri Trust.

In his reply Mukundan said that it was the organisation which he represented had helped him to build a personality. He lamented that politics had become a tool for attaining power. The service element in politics was fast losing its significance, he said.

Mayor N Padmalochanan inaugurated the reception. Kadavoor Sivadasan, Babu Divakaran, Yunus Kunju, P Ramabhadran, P Bharathan Pillai, N Rajendran, P Basant, BA Rajakrishnan, Kizhakkanela Sudhakaran, G Suresh Kumar and R Gopalakrishan offered felicitations. Geethacharyan NI Narayanan and school youth fest talent R Premchand were honoured at the function.
