Fake currency: probe intensified

KOCHI: Faking the security thread, the most vital part of a currency note, is a tough job. The fake Indian currency notes, seized at Nedumbassery, had fake security threads! Samples of the notes have been sent to the Reserve Bank of India for scrutiny.
Meanwhile, investigating agencies have intensified probe into the cases against Kamaluddin who was arrested along with Thajuddin, carrier of the fake currency notes from Sharjah.
Kamaluddin, who has studied till Class VI, along with a friend had invested Rs 25 lakh on a textile showroom at Vadakkanchery 16 years ago.
