BJP condemns DYFI attacks on Ashrams

Kochi

: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the State on
Monday condemned the attacks by DYFI activists on ashrams under the guise of a
crackdown on ‘pseudo swamis’. Speaking to reporters here, BJP State general
secretary AN Radhakrishnan said, “There is a law of the land and no
organisation has the right to take law into their own hands.” “If DYFI
continues with their attacks, the party will chalk out an action plan to resist
them”

The BJP and RSS leadership
are also in favour of conducting a detailed probe into the activities of all
the ashrams and other spiritual centres in the State. The leadership, while
speaking to The Pioneer, said that the police and the State Home
department should not take a dual stand on the issue which have far reaching
consequences on the social relationships in the State.
