Kodiyeri playing partisan politics in the name of police raids on ashrams- Sasikala Teacher

Thiruvananthapuram: The Hindu Aikya Vedi leader KP Sasikala teacher, while speaking to media persons in Thiruvananthapuram, said that the police was providing protection to the controversial godman Thanku Brother while conducting raids in the ashrams of genuine swamis who were real assets to the society.

The firebrand leader said that there were clear indications of the State Home department under the CPI(M) Politburea member Kodiyeri Balakrishnan playing partisan politics in the name of police raids on ashrams. She also said that the Hindu organisations welcome a detailed investigation of the State police on the activities of all trusts and social organisations and Hindu temples and swamis and called upon the police to conduct similar investigations into the activities of the pentacostal pastors and other organisations which were acting as healers.

The BJP and RSS leadership are also in favour of conducting a detailed probe into the activities of all the ashrams and other spiritual centres in the State. The leadership, while speaking to The Pioneer, said that the police and the State Home department should not take a dual stand on the issue which have far reaching consequences on the social relationships in the State.
