Congress opts Fundamentalist Muslim League over their own Secular Leader-Aryadan Mohammad

The dirty side of Congress surfaced once again, by cornering their own leader for upholding the ideals of True Secularism.

Aryadan Mohammad , A Congress leader from Muslim community is one of the rare leader who always opposed Islamic Fundamentist forces, though he haven’t got any support from his party who eyes on Fundamentalist votebank of Muslim League.

Aryadan Mohammad’s crime is that he urged his party members to strengthen Congress and not Muslim League, as Indian Union Muslim League is still following the ideals of Mohammed Ali Jinnah. He urged league leadership to follow true secularism. Aryadan Mohammad was one of the few leader, who stood with Hindu society when they were accused for demolishing the disputed structure in Ayodhya

It is not the first time Aryadan is attacking IUML. In the past also he had questioned the authority of Panakkad Thangal as a spiritual leader of Muslims in Kerala as projected by IUML. Aryadan was bold enough to question the portrayal of 1921 Malabar riot  as a freedom struggle, in which thousands of Hindus were massacred and converted to Islam.The IUML and Leftists in the state were in forefront to criticize Aryadan then.

The present fiasco began after Aryadan appealed to the Congress workers to strengthen the party so that they can beat IUML at Malappuram.The IUML turned this into a big controversy. Some political analysts believe that the core issue is about seat sharing in the newly constituted assembly and parliament constituencies in the Malappuram and adjoining districts after the delimitation committee has redrawn the boundaries. There is an increase in the number of constituencies in this area and a decline in other districts owing to growth of Muslim population in Malappuram and

Kozhikode

districts. So Aryadan’s move is seen to place the congress in a better position in the bargain but Congress high command’s stands is literally against Aryadan and they are keen to appease IUML leaders than their own leader!

 

Now the issue got out of hand when Aryadan Shaukat criticized Panakkad Shihab Ali Thangal  and demanded an enquiry into his fraud activities. Shaukat described Thangal as a fraud Godman doing a big business out of spirituality. He asked if the government has enough guts to investigate the activities of Thangal and the sources of assets of IUML leaders. Shoukath told- LDF Government, which was on a godman-hunt in the State, should be bold enough to probe the goings on at Panakkad Thangal’s place, alleging indirectly that faith-healing was being done there on “commercial and industrial scale”.

 

The furious youth league and IUML workers burned down many congress party offices in the district and severely damaged others.
The congress leaders who were quiet when scores of Hindu ashrams and spiritual centres  were attacked by DYFI goons ,suddenly sprang into action when they saw Panakkad Thangal’s credibility as a spiritual leader is being questioned .The Sonia madam herself has immediately interfered in the matter and sent her trusted lieutenant Vayalar Ravi to sort out the issue.

 

The whole happenings is another golden opportunities for Hindus to realize the true colours of Congress in which they shed –

 

‘SECULARISM’ for ‘FUNDAMENTALISM’
