Move to endanger and humiliate Surendran- Krishnadas

Kasargode: BJP State president PK Krishnadas alleged that the State Home Department, ruled by Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan of the CPI(M), had initiated a plan to endanger and humiliate Surendran. “A Government with will power should be prepared to view criticisms with tolerance and to counter them politically,” he said, adding that the present Government, on the contrary was trying to silence critics through physical force and humiliation techniques.

The Home Department, which was on the dangerous move against Surendran, was in fact playing with fire, Krishnadas said in Kasaragod. He added that probes should be held into the assets of the CPI(M) leaders and their sources instead of the leaders of other parties.

BJP sources said that the intolerance of the Home Department, Kodiyeri and the CPI(M) had grown intense after Surendran’s allegations about the relations various CPI(M) leaders had with people of redoubtable personalities. Surendran had made some scathing criticisms against Kodieyeri and his son recently.

The Morcha leader had more than a month back alleged that the hall at Sri Mulam Club here was booked by Xavie Mano Mathew, who was facing allegations in the Merchiston Estate-ISRO land controversy, for the party in connection with the marriage of Kodiyeri’s son Benoy. He had also said later that people of bad repute like Santosh Madhavan had participated in it.

After the Santosh Madhavan drama unfurled in the State, Surendran had said that Kodiyeri’s son Bineesh, who was presently in the Gulf, had business relations with the godman. Bineesh had sent a legal notice to Surendran for defamation, but the Morcha leader said he would give his explanation in the court.
