Swami Gurudas Chaitnya of the Amritanandamayi Matt on Sunday warned the DYFI that its indecent protests against Hindu Sanyasis could well be the start of that organisation’s bad days. Speaking at the convention for Kshetra Vimochanam (liberation of temples) here, he said the DYFI was thinking it could do anything with its organisational support.

“They think that they could do anything against Swamis including cutting the hair of Hindu Sanyasis. Let them cut the head itself not just the hair. If this organisation has to collapse, they should do it,” he said.

“So what I want to tell (DYFI State secretary) Rajesh is that they should not stop this. They should extend it to the whole of India, taking it to the North. Then they would understand the value of the Jada (the locks of the Swamis),” he said.
