Kerala regiment under consideration

Thiruvananthapuram : Defence Minister A K Antony has assured the Kerala government that setting up a Kerala regiment in the army would be considered. This assurance was given in respone to a request made by State Parlimentary Affairs and Law Minister M Vijayakumar, an official press release said here on Sunday.
Vijayakumar said that forming such a regiment would enhance the state’s prestige and also job opportunties for youths, the release said.
