KOZHIKODE: BJP state president P K Krishnadas has demanded a probe by a Central agency into the extremist activities in Kerala.

The state government should make its stand clear on banning the NDF and the PDP for their “terrorrist connections”, he told a news conference on Saturday.

Both the LDF and the UDF are letting the extremists flourish so as to garner minority votes during elections. “The state police are inactive in regard to action against these organisations. In fact, it was the lead given by neighbouring states that helped the police here take what little action they’ve taken so far,” he said.

The ruling front’s “connection” with the extremists should be exposed through a probe by a Central agency, he added.

“What is the stand of Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, who gave a grand reception to Madani when he was released from the Coimbatore prison, on the issue of PDP’s terrorist connections?” Krishnadas asked.

The BJP will launch a strong agitation in state, demanding ban on PDP and the NDF. “The party also welcomes the decision of the relatives of the two who died in Kashmir that they will not accept the dead bodies,” he said.
