Poet asks temple body to set up centre for Sanskrit – Daily Pionerr

Noted Malayalam poet Sugathakumari on Thursday urged the Guruvayoor Devaswom to explore the possibilities of setting up a centre for studies in Sanskrit and ancient Indian culture.

She mooted the idea while inaugurating the golden jubilee celebrations of Kshetra Kalanilayam, the temple arts centre attached to Sree Krishna temple. A seminar on Krishna Bhakthi Sahityam — literary traditions associated with Lord Krishna — was also held as part of the event. Noted scholar and critic M Leelavathi, writers Unnikrishnan Puthoor, KG Paulose and Devaswom Managing committee member KP Divakaran were also present .
