Welcome change in Kerala politics

In recent times, Pinarayi Vijayan has become very critical about the NSS and their threat to leave the  Samadoora Sidhantham which they were nurturing all these years for reasons best known to them. The real thing behind Pinarayi’s outburst is not only NSS’s show of strength which they have started with Taluk levels conventions in December 2008, but the tilt they are showing towards BJP.

 

One must not forget that the NSS once closed its Changanassery college gate for Mr.O.Rajagopal, who was then minister at Centre. The very same leaders now shared the dais with Shri.Kummanam Rajasekharan in a function recently held at Changanasseri to award him the first `Swabhiman Award’. In fact Mr.Sukumaran Nair, NSS’s  Assistant General Secretary presided that function.  Pinarayi was very critical about that, but Mr.Sukumaran Nair retorted that those who shared dais with Abdul Nasser Madani have no right to ask about sharing dais with Kummanam Rajasekharan.

 

Earlier, the political parties in Kerala, UDF as well as LDF made sure all the time that NSS and SNDP always conducted themselves like India and Pakistan. The valiant efforts put in by Mannathu Padmanabhan and R.Shanker for forming a Hindu Maha Mandal was thwarted by the political parties. Recently also, there were efforts for forging such a unity and both NSS and SNDP leaders did conduct some preliminaries. But that did not come through due to the connivance of political parties.  Now that the BJP has been pondering on various possibilities for the Lotus to blossom and make entry into the assembly, Pinarayi and his group are very active in sowing the seeds of hatred in the minds of SNDP on various disguise.  He sides with SNDP to make sure that the two never come up with unity efforts. All the times, reservation has been the key issue that kept them separated and now also what the NSS ask for is reservation based on economic backwardness. One should not wonder if the NSS join with BSP in Kerala since UP Chief Minister Mayawati during her recent visit to Kerala reiterated her promise to grant 10% reservation for the economically backward upper cast people, the way she has implemented in UP.

 

Whatever be that, an alliance between NSS and BJP could definitely bring changes in Kerala’s political scenario and if SNDP also could be persuaded to be with that alliance, undoubtedly they could bring an end to the UDF/LDF political management in Kerala. Every Hindu must seriously consider these findings and put in their best efforts to ensure such a coalition.  Surely, that could herald the awakening and restitution of the state.
