MLA’s U turn to cover up daughter’s love affair

The
mystery over the abduction of and attack against Shruti, 17-year-old
daughter of CPI(M)’s Manjeswaram MLA CH Kunhambu and a Muslim boy by a
gang near Mangalore on Friday last got murkier with several factors
stated by the girl and others in relation to the incident refusing to
match.

Kunhambu and his party had alleged that the attack was
carried out by Sri Ram Sena activists, who had recently manhandled
girls visiting a pub in Mangalore. Five
persons had already been arrested in connection with the incident in which all of them are associated with  CPI(M) men

According to the girl, the
Muslim boy she had talked to on the bus was the brother of one of her
classmates.However, reports said that the boy did not have a sister
studying at the St Aloysius College, Mangalore. His only sister was
said to be a Class 10 student at the High School, Nainmar Moola,
Kasaragod.

On Tuesday, Surendran said in Thiruvananthapuram
that Kunhambu should resign as MLA owning up the responsibility for the
incident. He alleged that the MLA had made the incident into a huge
controversy to create a divide between two communities. MLA who tried to cover up the whole incident when gone out of hand was forced to accusse Sri Ram Sena when a news Channel flashed the news.

It is reported that MLA, who was furious with th elove affair of his daughter with a Muslim boy itself is behind sending his party cadres to threaten the boy.

Interestingly, The National Media which took up the issue to target Karnataka government recoiled from their earllier stand when DYFI hand behind the incident was reported.
