Viswa Mangala Gow Grama Yatra rejuvenating Kerala

Viswa Mangala Gow grama yatra completed three days in Kerala and had rousing welcome in Cochin, Thrissur and Kozhikode during last two days. The yatra propagating the motto that Villages progress by devotion to cow, progress of villages results in progress of the nation, leading to the progress of the world is being received with much enthusiasm from all sections of society.

Cochin

The yatra was welcomed to Cochin with devotional chantings of Vandae Gomataram on Saturday evening.Former DGP R Padmanabhan hoisted the flag, RSS Kshetriya pracharak
S Sethumadhavan inaugurated the meet.

The alarming situation of cow slaughter is witnessed in the villages of Kerala than any where in the country, By encouraging and supporting cow slaughter we are destroying our on villages and a great culture, told K C Kannan Akhila Bharathiya Sareerik Pramukh.Signatures collected demanding the ban of cow slaughter is handed over to Gow grama yatra Rashtreeya Karyadarshi Sankarlalji. Kaithapram Vasudevan Master recited Go Gram pledge.

Shri Mahesh Joshi, Shri Kummanam Rajasekharan,RSS Pranth Sanghchalak PEB Menon, Smt.Sasikala Teacher, Dakshin Bharath Kshetriya Karyavahak A R Mohan, Pranthpracharak A Gopalakrishnan, Sahapranth Pracharak J Nandakumar, Blagokulam Karyadarshi M A Krishnan ,BJP leader Radhakrishnan and others were present.

Alapuzha

The yatra received welcome in the district at Mullakkal Temple.Thousands of devotees participated in the ceremony.The yatra was welcomed with Panchavadyam,Thalapoli, Velakali, and Theyyam. In the meeting held at Muncipal Maidan Chinmaya Mission Brahmachari Druva Chaithanya inaugurated the function. Prominent Environmentalist K V Dayal presided the meet.RSS Jilla Sangh chalak N Krishna Pai hoisted the flag. RSS Pranth Karyavahak V Gopalankutty Master did the Main speech.Farmers Mathew Chandi, P N Chakrapani Nair, K V Dayal and Singer Vidhu was honoured by reception committee president P K Balakrishnan. Signatures collected demanding the ban on cow slaughter is also handed over during the meet.

Thrissur

Massive welcome was arranged in the holy land of Vadakkunathan. The yatra was received with cultural Goshayatra from Paramaekkavau Bhagavathi Temple to Vadukkunathan temple. An Exhibition titled Sahajeevanam 2009 was also arranged as part of the function.

Famous Drum scholar Peruvanam Kuttan Marar inaugurated the function.Dr G Mukundan presided the meet. Sukumaran Nampoothiri lighted the Bhadra deepam.Swami Parameswarananda, Swami Purushothamananda Theertha, Congress MLA  and former speaker of Kerala Assemblu Therambil Ramakrishnan, Dakshin Bharath Kshetriya Karyavahak A R Mohan and others participated.

1 Lakh signatures demanding the ban was handed over to Sankarlalji. Peruvanam Kuttan Marar, Dr Dharmapalan, Narayanan Nampoothiri, K K Mani, M Ponnumani and  K B Sreedevi  were felicitated for showing excellence in their respective field.

Kozhikode

Thousands thronged to Muthalakulam Maidan extending their whole hearted support to ban cow slaughter here in Kozhikode.Since afternoon Muthalakulam Maidan was over flowing with devotees chanting Ram Nam and Devi Sthuthi. From Ramanattukara the yatra rath was welcomed and taken to city centre after conducting Arathi. Thalapoli and Vadya Melams were arranged.

Go Pooja was conducted along with Sreekandeswara Bhajana Samithi ‘s Bhajana and Sreshta Acharya Sabha’ Vedic chants. Yoga Acharya UnniUnniraman Master hoisted the flag. People who are role models in the field of Cow protection, Farming and Environmental protection were honoured by Dr K Madhavankutty and RSS Pranthkaryavahak P Gopalankutty Master.
