Reality of Munnar

For ordinary independent thinking Keralites, what is happening at Munnar is really intriguing. One TV channel is blaming the TATAs for all the land problems, another one the Revenue Department and yet another one the Forest Department. One newspaper puts the blame on UDF parties and another one on the LDF parties. The blame game is going on for the past four years and the only real losers are those whose properties have been demolished when the Munnar operations started. The inefficient and toothless paper tiger in the name of Atchudanandan is using the Munnar opportunity only for fighting his last battle for survival in the party. Only a few people know the real story and those are the very same people who have successfully ‘encroached’ into Munnar. What the Kerala High Court has done now is only like stirring a feeble whirlwind in the giant teacup of Resort Mafia achayans.

Revenue department in Kerala government has always been handled by either Maani or CPI. Those who have studied Maani can write an encyclopedia on encroachment. He is one of the master encroachers who has ever lived on the face of earth. No wonder that such a cunning and unscrupulous land grabber has become the undisputed leader of greedy ‘achayans’ who are bent on encroaching into anyone’s land anywhere and at any time. More than 75% of the so-called Resort Mafia and ‘kudiyetta karshkar’ are Christians, and all of them are linked to Maani in one way or another. And if you analyse further, you can easily establish that their original encroachment have taken place during the UDF reign with Maani in charge of the Revenue department. The infamous double standard of the Kerala government in the Cardamom Hill Reserve case in the Supreme Court clearly points to the black hands of Maani congress behind the issue. And now with his direct access to Sonia madam, he is evil personified with all time acute land-o-mania.

The reality of Munnar is that all except TATAs are illegally holding land at Munnar. Only the extent of encroachment is varying between small ones by poor Hindu workers, medium ones by parties & party supported Christian middleclass and the large ones by the Resort Mafia who are predominantly Christian or Muslim businessmen. Almost all the forest lands leased out to the Christian cardamom planters will ultimately be owned by them once the next UDF government comes to power, with Maani again in charge of Revenue department. Same will be the case with the Munnar Catering College owned by the Thachankarys and erected in illegal lands. Those who matter in LDF and UDF are playing a brilliant criminal game now by putting the entire blame on TATAs, leaving all the other encroachments untouched. The criminal mastermind of people like Maani and Ismail will succeed again unless there is an unexpected turn of events from some new quarters.
