Mayor is not just party’s man – O.Rajagopal

Ranni: Former central minister O.Rajagopal has said that the Kollam Mayor is not just a representative of the CPI(M). Rajagopal was delivering the keynote address in the 64th Ranni Hindumaha Sammelan.

It was in his capacity as the Mayor that RSS invited Padmalochanan to inaugurate the pranthasanghik organising committee office, and he attended the event in the same spirit. It is an example of intolerance on the part of the Marxist Party to see the Mayor’s action as an offence. Politicians who tried to implement socialism don’t speak about that word. Rather they speak about dharma and righteousness.

Dharma is the great lore of experience that India bequeathed to the world. Dharma helps to connect with each other, allows peaceful coexistence and growth. Ancient Indians were not strict that the God worshipped by one needs to be worshipped in the same way by somebody else. India is the land that conducted maximum experiments in spirituality for thousands of years and realized the truth. He added that India’s prayer is that the whole world be happy and prosperous.
