Thousands to pay last tribute to Suresh-The latest victim of Red Terrorism in Kerala.

Thousands gathered to pay their last respects to the slain BMS activist Suresh Kumar, who was succumbed to injuries on Wednesday, after he was brutally attacked by CPM goons early in August. Suresh was 44.
The attack on Suresh took place on 17 August, when he was with his friends. According to sources, Suresh, a taxi driver, was called for a drive, by the assailants. He was attacked thereafter.

 The assailants, who were a group of 5, surrounded him with iron rods and swords. He was hit on the head, which resulted in blood clot that led to loss of consciousness. Suresh is said to have slipped into a coma soon after, from which he never recovered.

CPM goons who attacked Suresh were identified as Nijesh, Nidheesh, Rijil and Maneesh. They were arrested by Koothuparambu police immediately after the attack and have been kept in remanded.

A hartal was called for in Thalassery, Koothuparambu municipality, New Mahi, Eranjoli, Kathiroor, Dharmadom, Pinarayi, Vengodu Panchayat etc by Sangh Parivar groups, following the death of Suresh, as a mark of protest. The local BJP unit has alleged that CPM goons had set out with the deliberate move of disrupting the peace that prevailed in Kannur.

Suresh is survived by his wife Nisha, children Siddharth and Sayanth.
