Campuses under SFI tyranny stand bereft of democratic ideals: Vinay Bidre

Thiruvananthapuram: All India general secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Vinay Bidre has flayed Marxist backed SFI for ensuring the total disappearance of democracy from as many as 63 college campuses where the students union has laid its autocracy. Bidre observed that over 300 ABVP karyakartas were attacked mercilessly in Kerala’s college campuses, in the last one year alone and out of these, there were deliberate attempts on the lives of over twenty ABVP karyakartas in Kerala’s college campuses.

Addressing a press conference before the commencement of ABVP’s mega rally on 11 November in the state capital, which has the slogan – ‘ ‘Kerala is our Pride. Marxism is Horrid & Anti National’, Bidre said Kerala’s colleges have the freedom to practice democracy. “ABVP has its presence spanned from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and has scores of colleges in Bharat, where it has absolutely majority. In all these colleges there is freedom to practice democracy, along with liberty for other organizations to function,” he said.

Pointing out how Kerala’s Left government has denied the right to live, think and express opinion without fear to Dalits, women, the working class and farmers, he said that the true face of communism will be exposed in the forthcoming rally. “This will be the biggest rally that will be held in the history of students organizations of Kerala,” added Bidre
